I like having things in folders and sub folders organized by more than just. But when you have thousands of downloads mixed with personal and business images taken via camera or downloaded for multiple purposes. It's cool for business or a small amount of photos from a trip. I also hope they bring back ds cloud support as drive and the new photo management software is so primitive. I figured I might as well have both ports working and fail over vs one doing nothing all the time. I think some of the issues I had came after binding my 2 ethernet ports. I'll re-read your method when I'm ready to set it up and hopefully my network works. I tried using webdav before but I have issues with somethings on my network and it didn't work. But it sucks when you lose internet connection and can't access files. Would that be just a upload only scenario? On the desktop drive sync app it has a "free up space" option, even though it's set as two way. I want to free up space on my mobile and dump a continuous back up on my NAS of my phones photos. Too bad that feature is ONLY on laptops and not on mobile devices. I did something with drive for syncing my laptop which worked. Glad you found a way to set up a two way sync folder that uses an app that's based on a readily available app like webdav. So I just stopped using the pc back up feature on drive manager? (I forget all the similar names of these apps). I was disabling back up and then syncing all of them and the re enabling back up. The conflict makes one or the other no longer allow backup/sync - _. So much work.Įspecially when one folder is being synced and the other is being backed up. Or adding them all in 1 app vs having to authorize a folder then go and create it, select it and then associate 1 folder to the nas. I'd rather have the option to just right click a folder and it be added. All of those share folders in 2 different apps. I just really hate the awkward way of syncing via drive sync etc. I did see quite a few nice things on dsm 7 apps. See only cloud does a proper backup of files and folders and photos. Does it keeps things in original folder order? That's one thing that annoys me about other photo backups like the new and old photo station and memories or whatever it was Called. Got them off amazon all in the past 3 weeks.ĭs file? Interesting. I just got a ds 720+ and 2 920+ and all of them came with cloud Station.
